Color me embarrassed about two errors in yesterday’s dispatch—one foolish, one telling in the following:
“Or if you a spouse. I’m asking for pity…”
Superior powers of deduction will inform you it should be:
“Or if you have a spouse.”
As for the second slip, I submit I meant for it to read:
“I’m not asking for pity,” though my subconscious might beg to differ.
